We made this Piquette by macerating Riesling skins in savoury Guelph water for 4 days. The skins came from an orange wine we made at our sister project: ibi wines.
What's it like? It drinks kind of like iced tea if you made it with grapes. It's grippy, savoury and saline, with something that reminds us of pineapples too.
Sunny and gorgeous, this is the piquette we always come back to.
3.98% ABV | 750mL
Ingredients: Riesling, water. Gluten free.
Wild ferment, zero added sulphites or sugars. Vegan friendly.
Keep refrigerated, drink fresh.

I'm new to the piquette and this is one of the most enjoyable thirst quenchers I've ever experienced in my life. Somewhere between a sour and a cider it is a light and refreshing drink that is truly unique. A beverage of wonderful subtlety, hiding below a quiet savoury character the few fruitish notes that exist are a distant memory...but they are there. Best enjoyed very frosty.

The Riesling Piquette is perfect for an afternoon BBQ in the warm weather. It's light, refreshing, and totally crushable. It also works amazingly well in a summary sangria.

I made the mistake of drinking this indoors, this should be enjoyed by the pool on a hot day. Light, crisp and refreshing with a hint of that trademark Revel funk.
This a tad too mild for my taste, although still great.
